VIN verification
When a vehicle from another state is titled in Colorado, its VIN must be physically verified, usually by law enforcement or a certified VIN inspector. Make sure the VIN on the vehicle matches the title.
Hail damage
Severe hail can total a car even when it still runs well. Look for hail or salvage brands and insurance total-loss records in the report, and check the roof and hood in good light.
Mountain driving and AWD
Many Colorado cars are all-wheel drive and see mountain roads. Check service records for brakes, tires and drivetrain work.
