Import taxes in Poland

10% EU import duty, excise of 3.1% (engines up to 2.0 L) or 18.6% (larger engines), then 23% VAT on the total.

Shipping

Most cars go in a shared 40-foot container from a US east-coast port to Gdańsk or Bremerhaven, typically about $1,400 per car and 25–35 days door to door. Prices change with the season and the departure port, so type your own quote into the calculator.

Good to know

Many Polish buyers ship to Bremerhaven or Rotterdam and drive or tow the car home; duty is then paid in that EU country and only excise and VAT in Poland.
Hybrids and electric cars have lower excise rates; electric cars pay none.

Check the car before you bid
